Privacy Policy

Short version: Go For Launch has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't collect your personal data. Your location never leaves your phone.

01Who we are

Go For Launch: Rocket Tracker ("the app") is an independent app made by Arthur Munhoz. Questions about this policy: go.launch.app@gmail.com.

02What we collect

Nothing. The app has no sign-in, and it doesn't include advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools. We don't run servers that receive data about you, and we don't sell or share data with anyone.

03Your location

If you allow it, the app reads your location and compass heading while it's open. They're used only on your device: to aim the arrow at the launch pad, show distance and direction, estimate visibility and plot you on the globe. Your location is not stored, and it's never sent to us or to anyone else. You can switch it off at any time in your phone's settings (iPhone: Settings › Go For Launch › Location; Android: Settings › Apps › Go For Launch › Permissions). The app works without it.

04Launch data and images

Launch schedules come from Launch Library 2, a public API run by The Space Devs. The app and its widgets request the upcoming-launch list from their servers, and launch photos load from the addresses that list provides. Like any website you visit, those servers can see your IP address when your device connects. No location or personal information is included in these requests.

05Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone for the launches you choose. They don't go through any server, and the app doesn't register for push notifications.

06Stored on your device

The app keeps a few things on your phone so it works offline and remembers your choices: a cached copy of the launch list, your day/night preference and which launches you follow. On iPhone, the widgets read the same data from shared app storage. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

07Links to other apps

"Open in maps" and "Find webcast" hand you over to your maps app or YouTube. What happens there is covered by their own privacy policies.

08Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

09Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the app ever starts collecting data, we'll say so here before it does.
